Ping Me Ning is a mash-up of the Ning social web application platform and the TRYNT RPC Ping Web Service. We used XHConn, a popular Simple XMLHTTP Interface Library to wire our AJAX. We've also taken advantage of the TRYNT JavaScript Compression/Obsufcation Web Service and the TRYNT PHP Obsufcation Web Service to keep certain elements of the code in use "secure." This service is very much in beta and as such maybe a bit "rough around the edges" ... You've been warned :). |

Pinging is the process of notifying the services that track weblogs or blogs of an update you've made. Once they been notified they will crawl and index your new entry. This collected data is then repurposed and published by many organizations which can improve the popularity and visibility of your blog.
